In “Healthy Workplace” Project, Danson collaborates with enterprises and businesses to use a continual improvement process to protect and promote the health, safety and well-being of workers and the sustainability of the workplace. We help our partners to consider the well-being concerns in the psychosocial work environment. We approach by support the idea that “working is good for us”, working under stressful conditions is usually good for no-one. The following factors are taken into account to design From Toolkit:
- a balance between work and rest;
- a variety of tasks
- a sense of personal control
- swift resolution of poor relationships
- good communication at all levels
- confidence in workplace leaders
These factors create a virtuous circle
in the relationship between improved health and productivity
People’s health and wellbeing is shaped by a number of social, economic and environmental factors, including individual lifestyle factors. They are what people bring to work from their homes and communities, such as how they eat and drink, health conditions, personal stresses, family issues, what they think and value.
To create a healthy workplace, a healthy lifestyle should be encouraged, which means the workplace does what it can to make the healthy choice the easy choice.
Good work to wellbeing coaching course highlights
The techniques are ensured to be applied by coaching the workers through training and train-the-trainers training. Training and train-the-trainers courses and workshops are organised at businesses’ premises for the workers to learn to apply the wellbeing guidelines in their day-to-day tasking.
